I started this back in February. Finally working on it again. Not sure how much time I spent on this today. I was working on it and the gymnast at the same time.

Gymnastics Cake WIP

I have an order for a gymnastics theme birthday cake for a little girl next month. At first I was simply planning to decorate a cake with icing, making a girl on the balance beam or something. Then I got this wild idea to do a sculpted gymnast out of either modeling chocolate or clay. I couldn't find the chocolate so I got clay. Here is how she is coming along.

My day at work

Today I was pretty shocked because Fiona actually let me do some cake decorating! I got to decorate a cake for a 2nd birthday. It looks like this cake, only it is hot orange, hot yellow, turquoise, and hot pink.

I also got to do a cake like this, only the bottom border was white scallop with blue and grey stars in between each one and the star on the field wasn't smooth. It was done with the #5 star tip, just like the other cake's number was.

And I got to do some cupcakes that look like this.

I also made fondant flowers in hot pink, turquoise, bright yellow, and soft yellow that look like the small 5 point pink and purple flowers on this cake.

On some reading thing

So, it seems that if the book is paper it doesn't matter how interesting it is...I'll never finish it. But, if the book is downloaded through Kindle onto my iPhone...I can't put it down. Right now I am reading the Stephanie Plum novels written by Janet Evanovich and loving them. I'm reading half a book a day...and there are 15 numbers books and 4 between the numbers...this could get expensive.   Vnvhe Yvhv Hvtke
