Goldenvale Native woman and baby

Today I received a 3' tall porcelain Native woman with her papoose. The pair need a lot of work. I've never been a big fan of Goldenvale dolls. They've always seemed cheaply made, but what do you expect for the price? With this pair I found out just how cheaply made they are. The papoose was no longer attached to the back of the mother. The reason for this is that they used a cheap plastic material with flocking on it to create a "suede" look. Then pieces were glued together with what appears to be hot glue. Guess what, that causes the flocking to separate from the material. Unfortunately they also used this glue to hold their headbands in place IN THEIR HAIR. And they used the wrong arms for the woman. Ugh. I knew this would be a project, but I wasn't expecting to replace parts. Anyhow, here they are.
